How To Clean Your Gas Grill
Posted on August 18th, 2021 by Devine Bros
Nothing beats grilling up all your favorites in the beautiful summer weather! With the season just about to end and your grill helping you make many delicious meals with your family, it’s about time to give everything a good clean!
We here at Devine Bros. have all the tricks to getting your BBQ gear scrubbed and ready to take on the new season. Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Assess The Situation
To start, you’ll need to check if all you need is a simple clean or if it’s time to replace your burners or grates. If you notice your grates are a little too rusty to be cleaned, this is your sign to upgrade. Just be sure you double-check the owner’s manual and always turn off your grill and gas before taking things apart.
Step 2: The Initial Scrub
Take off the grates from the top rack of the BBQ and brush them with a wire brush to remove any grease, debris, or stuck-on pieces of food. You can even consider taking a damp rag and scrubbing off any residue from your grill if the wire brush doesn’t get all the gunk off.
Step 3: Soak Grates
Use some warm, soapy water to give your grates an honest, proper clean. This is key to disinfecting the area. It will ensure all food particles are off and keep excess grime off the grates for a long time. A simple sponge or rag will do the trick!
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Next, clean out excess grease around the outside of your grill with paper towels and a degreaser, then scrub away any rust spots with steel wool pads. For tough stains, use a scrubbing pad made for grills and then wipe with paper towels. These tools make it easier to clean and deal with the gunk that refuses to get off.
And your grill will be shining from the inside and out before you know it! Also, if you’re looking for one less thing to worry about, we here at Devine Bros. offer automatic propane deliveries— never worry about filling your propane tank again and let the barbeques continue!
