Fun DIY Stone Projects

Summer’s here, which means summer projects are on the way! As we welcome the warmer weather into our lives, we’re also dusting off the patio chairs, breaking out the grill, and getting ready for a nice, relaxing summer! And with summer comes everyone’s creative outdoor mind, which can help lead to creating projects at home that make living spaces that much nicer! So with stones, what are some things you can do on your own to improve your home’s curb appeal? We’re so glad you asked! See some of the ideas below that you can begin working on immediately!

Firepits

Everyone loves a nice fire at night — they’re great for everything from conversations to s’mores! And what many people also don’t realize is how easy they are to make! All you need is a group of stones that can be formed into a circle, and a shovel to dig out the foundation for! Add one metal grate and some sand (to catch the ashes) and you’re ready for a nice summertime fire in the backyard!

Walkways

Many people think they can’t construct their own walkways, but the truth is, they’re pretty easy to do yourself! Again, most of the time, the only thing you need is a nice shovel and your paving stones to carve out the walkway to your liking! Make sure the ground is flat before laying your stones to ensure a stone-shifting free walkway!

Walls

Privacy is a huge concern among many homeowners, so it’s important to know that if you want more, it can always be created! Using your paving stones, you can create smaller retaining walls that enable you to have a bit more privacy when you’re relaxing in the sun! This also helps you keep in smaller pets and children from running away and getting out of sight when everyone is enjoying the yard.
